Where a choice can filter into several options in a list. I found that adding the items several times (one for each choice filter) worked but wasn't sure if it's a good idea. The only side effect I could see was that the field didn't have domains a usual other select_one question would. This approach is also a bit clunky for longer lists. Reply.
External selects are only designed to work with choice lists associated with a cascading select. You can add an extra tab to your spreadsheet called external_choices. It should contain the same column headings as your choices tab.
